Syntron® Sonic Enclosures
Noise reduction is a major concern for most industrial firms. Although OSHA has decibel limits set for an employee's eight-hour working day, many companies require even lower noise levels for their workers.
Noise caused by the loading of parts handling equipment, as well as part-to-part interaction when parts feed, is a major factor in the level of noise generated. Noise levels vary according to the part's material, configuration and discharge rate. Reducing noise is the reason Homer City Automation offers Syntron® Sonic Enclosures.
In extensive sound measurement tests using Syntron® Vibratory Parts Feeders enclosed by Sonic Enclosures, Homer City Automation has demonstrated that these units significantly reduce noise.
Syntron® Sonic Enclosures feature frames constructed of fabricated steel angles and removable sidewall panels made of heavy-duty, vinyl coated nylon. These panels are lined with a one inch thick pad of Tufcote® foam secured to the flexible panel. All flexible sidewalls are attached to the metal frame with hook and latch fastener (Velcro) for quick and easy removal. Optional Sonic Enclosures with removable metal sidewalls are also available.
